The Fig Adventure Race 2018
USARA sanctioned adventure race in Red River Gorge, Kentucky
The Fig is Kentucky’s longest standing, USARA sanctioned Adventure Race. This was my second time in the race with my longtime friend and race partner. Together we make up the 2-person "Team Horsefly".
The Fig is an orienteering based adventure race where, using a map and compass you are required to navigate to checkpoints spread out across the gorge. This includes disciplines of trekking, mountain biking, paddling, ropes. This race has a 12 hour time cutoff and the distance traveled is approximately 60 miles.
