Hi, I’m Robert. I live in Salt Lake City where I design things and play in the mountains.
I’ve always had a love for art and design. I spent my childhood drawing and my first two jobs were working in a frame shop and a sign shop.
I landed my first agency job as a production artist in 1994 when traditional paste-up art was transitioning to digital. My first digital design experience was on a Macintosh IICi designing newspaper ads for local small businesses.
As the internet became popular I focused my attention on designing and building websites, eventually leaving the agency to explore freelance work. After a few years on my own I was hired on full time by one of my freelance clients, Gray Loon Marketing Group, as a designer and developer. And that is where I am today.
In 20 years with Gray Loon I’ve worn a lot of hats working with cross-functional teams. I regularly work as a Designer, UX designer, developer, full stack developer, content producer, photographer and video editor. I also support the company with creative strategy and branding design at times. I am happy for the experience and freedom they’ve given me and the opportunity to work with small to large local and national businesses.
Today, I live near beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah with my wife Kary and our dog Uki where I spend my spare time hiking, biking, camping and enjoying this amazing place I get to call home.
